About us
GDC are a London based, event design company with over 25 years of industry experience. Consisting of a close-knit team of event design experts and a wider family of freelance artists, we transform environments through creative design.
What the service entails
We are well versed in creating high impact events for corporate clients, from annual award ceremonies, receptions, seasonal celebrations such as summer soirees and large-scale Christmas parties, through to intimate dinners and post conference activities. From initial consultation through to onsite build; GDC events deliver with passion and originality. We welcome collaboration with onsite caterers and AV providers to better enhance the overall experience, creating bespoke bars, interactive food stations and unique table centres as well as immersive entrance features, stage design, ceiling installations and photo opportunities.
Utilising our skills and knowledge in experiential design, we bring an event to life, showcasing brands and helping companies to connect with their audience. GDC brings authenticity, passion and commitment to every project, no matter how big or small.
Our process
Seeking inspiration from every field within the creative industries, we can creatively respond to a client’s vision or come up with bespoke ideas from scratch. We keep our ideas relevant, innovative and unique to each client.
After initial consultation where we seek to fully understand our client’s requirements, our close knit team of inhouse event designers will create a mood board of ideas for review. We will then produce a fully costed proposal complete with visuals and renders where needed to convey the overall vision. We then oversee technical construction across our workshops, collaborating with a wider team of carpenters, metal workers, fabricators and artists to ensure maximum attention to detail.
The process culminates in onsite installation, fully managed by the GDC team alongside a selection of industry leading professionals, all specialising in specific skills such as prop making, drapery, floristry and carpentry. We have curated our family of freelancers, which is ever expanding, over 25 years. This personal approach means that we can match the right artist to the job at hand, ensuring a high end finish.

GDC have worked with a range of corporate clients such as EY, TMK, HP and BP at grade listed venues, Royal hotels and purpose built structures. The bespoke nature of our approach means we can easily adapt to all settings, modifying our product to create design solutions. Our turn key service ensures a truly unique experience for each client from beginning to end of project.

Every design element will be tailor made for that specific event, encompassing a range of services and skills depending on the brief. We have a wealth of experience in all manner of applications and fabrications and apply this mixed medium approach to every job. Our wider family of freelance specialists are proficient in everything from conceptual sculptures, scenic prop building and large scale murals to welding and so much more. We strive to create truly innovative designs from our wealth of fresh ideas, substantiated by 25 years of experience.
